Moar TC
World Racing and Chris Rado have decided to take a tC where no tC has gone before. There's been a few RWD tCs built, but no one has yet made an AWD one. If anyone can make a badass AWD tC to take on cars like EVOs and STIs, it would be them. Keep an eye out for the '09 season of Super Lap Battle. Source: www.aempower.com, www.scion.com
Getting Down On All Fours
Scion and Rockstar are building a new tC to compete in the '09 season of Formula D. Team Papadakis Racing will be operating the car, with no other than Tanner Foust piloting it.
Obviously this will be another RWD converted tC. No news has been released on the power plant yet. Possibly another BEAMS 3S-GE similar to their Scion/RSR tC, driven by Ken Gushi.

Bring That Beat Back
D1 Grand Prix from Japan is coming back for the '09 year, and official dates have been released. Unlike most race events, D1GP will be held right in the heart of the city. No need for driving 2 hours to BFE to see your favorite cars crash. The first event will be held on May 2, at Angels Stadium in OC, California (please don't call it 'The OC' -CT).

Dear Jesus,
Would you marry, kill and hook up with on the 9th floor of your work?
Sincerely,
Sam Du
Sam Sam Sam,
Wouldn't you like to know? As for marriage and fornication, I suppose if the proper event presented itself it may be feasible. As for killing, yes most definitely and I'm going to start with you and slowly take out the rest of eurotuner!
Yours Truly,
Jesus
Tired of reading letters from my coworkers? So am I! So instead of spending your spare time growing that beard on the palm of your hands, why not shout me a holla?
Classic Super Street
Honda releases the '99 Civic Si Coupe, and we went Civic crazy. Ten years ago, it was all about Civics in the import scene March 1999, was our all Civic issue, titled "Civic Blowout." We had three drag EG Civics. Yes, drag racing, another popular 'has-been' for the import scene. Stay tuned as we will be reviving these car-themed issues.
Tetsu's Tales
There's bad news for car market of the world. Honda withdraw from Formula One race. Subaru and Suzuki withdraw from WRC. All of Japanese car companies have problem of employment at the factories. All bad news of car market is because of bad global economic situation. I am worrying about sport cars market. Will Honda sell hybrid sport car? Will Toyotasell new Hachiroku? Will Nissan sell new Silvia? It is hard to say please sell sport cars under $20000US for the car companies. In Japan, K-car (660cc motor cars) market is better than any other car market. 660cc motor and small body but four adult people buy it. K-car truck and van can take one and sometimes two Honda Zoomer (Ruckus). That's why many motorcycle shops, delivery service companies and post offices have K-car truck and van. 660cc motor can save gas. Daihatsu is selling Hijet hybrid. K-car size is bigger than Smart for two people. I thought Honda, Suzuki or Daihatsu could sell K-cars in USA now. I didn't know Daihatsu was selling K-car trucks and vans in USA few years ago. I knew Daihatsu was selling K-cars in USA because "Pimp My Ride" on MTV (MTV Japan) picked up Daihastu Hijet one time. Mercedes is selling Smart car in USA. Mitsubishi is testing i-MiEV in USA now. Mitsubishi i-MiEV is electric car but body size is same as K-car. I saw some Japanese K-cars in California, like Honda Beat, Honda Life and Honda ACTY. They didn't have license plates and I saw them at the garage and the race track. I think K-car is very convenient. About 10 years ago, Honda, Suzuki and Mazda were selling sport k-cars and they are still popular in the used car market now. Some K-cars are turbocharged or supercharged. 660cc motor and under 100ps but I think it is enough for daily driving in USA. I am not sure how EPA, DOT and Japanese car companies think about Japanese K-cars in USA. I guess reviewing K-cars is value in USA.www.myspace.com/oted15
Advan Porsches FTW
Since some Porsches already come with OE Advan tires, Yokohama Tire Corporation decided to sponsor the Patrn GT3 Challenge, which will run at six ALMS races in 2009. Custom Advan A005 and A006 tires will be made for the competing Porsche GT3s. If Advan tires are good enough for the GT3 Challenge, they're probably good enough for you to put on your Civic.
