Kuya Model Expo Details:
- Model meet & greet geared towards tuner community
- Fashion show, food trucks, model tables and tuners converge
- Moved from hotel hall to larger R1 Concepts HQ in La Habra, CA
- Super Street focuses on cars in attendance
The great thing about Southern California is we can have outdoor meets and events anytime of the year (sorry East Coast!). This was the case last Saturday as R1 Concepts in La Habra, CA hosted the second annual Kuya Model Expo. This event is not a car show or meet (and was not marketed as such) but an opportunity for import fans to come meet the ladies working as models within the industry. With incredible weekend weather it was huge success with over 50 of today’s up and coming import models in appearance, as well as food trucks and a good selection of SoCal’s cleanest rides.
You will notice our coverage here is car- not girl-centric. Due to extreme crowds and photographer creepers in attendance the model area, fashion show and lingerie show were nearly impossible to wade through for a solid photo. But hey, we’re car guys so we seized the opportunity to take a step back from the beautiful women behind the expo and see who showed up in the parking lot. Enjoy these photos of some of the dope rides on display.
