Import Showoff

Usually, season endings are just that—the end of the season. Nothing new or really exciting. You go and see pretty much the same old cars that you saw throughout the year. It doesn’t matter if they happened to be at the race or show you were at two weeks before; there they are.

It was refreshing to hit up Mainstream’s Showoff EXC Finale and find most of the cars in attendance were fresh meat. This show was also a first for the Sportbike Showoff, a section that held its own quite well considering the amount of bikes that were actually entered. Adam Saruwatari also unveiled his Pro NSX to fresh eyes, a display that was continuously crowded for a better part of the day. This 2000 millennium edition of Import Showoff (as well as being in its fifth year) marked off another winner for Ken Miyoshi, who promises to bring an even stronger series for 2001.
