I flew the five-hour journey and was lei’d upon arrival. I made several trips to the Ala Moana Shopping Center—more beef jerky and macadamia nuts than you can imagine were eaten. I ate a three-finger poi—great for mass quantities of tourists like myself but piss-poor for the locals. I stayed in the heart of Waikiki on the beach and couldn’t get rid of my SoCal sock tan.

Finally, the SS crew had returned to the beautiful isles of Hawai’I! In between servings of kalua pork and ABC thrift stores, we managed to find our way to the Neil Blaisdell Exhibition Hall where all the locals converged to show off more than just the good old aloha. Thrown in conjunction with HyperSports and Nitto Tires, Mainstream Production’s Streetcar Showoff kept the crowds coming throughout the entirety of the event and pulled in special guests from the Mainland, such as the Bergenholtz bros and the VSPEC S14/15. Make sure you stop by next year if you didn’t make it this time around. And if you do, please bring back a little Zip Min platter from Zippy’s. Mahalo!
