The Integra Type R is a little less new for the JDM tuner set, but that didn’t stop them from rolling out new products for 2002. The top booth was Mügen with a full line of new products. Because they believe the new Type R is a balanced platform from the factory, tuning one or two components just wouldn’t do the job. Instead, they’ve introduced what they call "Complete Block Tuning", an approach that addresses each vehicle system with a set of matching parts. Expensive yes, but we’re talking about taking the car to a whole new level on each step. This is something we’re sure you will feel at the track and the street.

Signal arrived from Osaka with an Integra with a new color for competition in the Enduro race in Japan this year. It is a stock-engine class entry so the 220-hp 2.0-liter iVTEC mill only received a balance job, but the suspension, brakes, and wheels were tweaked along with a tasty aerodynamic body kit.

We also checked out the Bomex booth with their vision of the R as well as Apex, Redline, Top Secret…the list goes on. So if you’re an Integra fan that doesn’t cry or get filled with murderous rage over the whole can’t-get-it-here thing, then check out the goods on the JDM Type R from the Tokyo Auto Salon.
