Through the late '90s, cruising the pavement maze of imports was great fun, but the old formula of the mini truck and also hot rod era had to change with the times. And with the evolution of concerts and raves looking more like New Year's Eve at Times Square, something in the land of the concrete car show had to move on as well. This was when Hot Import Nights (first called "Saturday Import Night Fever") was born. Pioneers of the nighttime car show, Vision Entertainment, hooked up with such sponsors as Toyo Tires and other various vendors to create the car show party that you see today. Breaking the mold of traditional car shows, the people at Vision wanted to give the people more. And more is the least of what they did.

From its inception, Hot Import Nights (or H.I.N.) has had its fair share of problems. There was no show that was like it. The idea of bringing a ton of cars, even more people, along with all the vendors, the light show and live entertainment-the H.I.N. staff was in for a bumpy ride. Armed with passion and the drive to succeed, the folks at Vision were ready for the show to go on. And that's exactly what happened. Teaming up with all the big players like the vendors and a "Super" magazine, the show was poised for success. But with success comes pitfalls. Like the very first event in Long Beach, where a ticket booth wasn't available, so one was built on the spot with a make-shift roof and some fencing. Then there were other countless nights spent in empty parking lots and exhibit halls to test lighting and the other factors that go into throwing a rave/party/car show, essentially in the dark.

Now that H.I.N. has expanded to locations all over the country, so has its workload. On top of the numerous days spent on airplanes and in cheap hotels, the H.I.N. staff has been chasing their tails and keeping fast-food chains in business to bring you a better car show experience. So, the next time you see the lights, cars, entertainment (and not to mention all the women) in perfect harmony, don't forget about the ones who shed their sweat and tears to bring you the hottest car show around-Hot Import Nights.

The Girls Of Hot Import NightsHot Import Nights would be just another car show, if it weren't for all the other features included. But the girls are what make it entirely better. At every H.I.N. there's bound to be girls aplenty. Girls showing their cars, cars showing their girls, girls dancing, girls modeling-they're everywhere. Hell, they'll be there just to check it out. But what more can be said about these beauties? We'll just let the pictures do the talking.
