When do we need to show up for setup, and what do I need to do to prepare for roll in?Roll in takes place on the day before the show. For indoor venues, you must have less than a quarter of a tank of gas in your car. Also, your battery will need to be disconnected once it is on the floor. To run power in your car at the event, you'll need to order electricity as well as a DC converter. More information on this can be obtained from the confirmation letters after you register your car.
How can I become a model for Hot Import Nights?There is a model search that we conduct every year. Just send a bio and picture to models@visionevent.com. Top models will be selected to attend each local Hot Import Nights event. If you think you have what it takes to attract attention...the opportunity is just an e-mail away!
How many guests can I bring with my vehicle registration?If you are competing in the event, you may take one passenger with you at the time of roll in. Everyone else will have to wait until the doors open to the public before they can enter the facility. Tickets can also be purchased online in advance, for those extra people who come to support you at the show.
Where do I get Hot Import Nights merchandise?You can purchase Hot Import Nights merchandise at each event. Some items are limited, so make sure you take plenty of cash to the shows to get what you want! You can also buy merchandise online at www.hotimportnights.com.
What do the magazines look for at the shows?We'll let the pros at Super Street handle this one. Here's Cap'n Rich: "We look for a lot of different things, such as uniqueness, level of modification, quality of work, and just how clean it is. And sometimes a car is just so bad-ass that it's beyond definition."
How do I get sponsors for my vehicle?Just keep competing at the shows and do your best to fix your car up on your own. The more attention you get at the shows, the more it will also attract the sponsors. Once you've built an attractive show car, the sponsors will most likely be very interested in adding their products to your vehicle. Keep in mind that your attitude and personality go a long way.
