Detailing Tips And Tricks*Before starting, double-check all your supplies. Be sure to have all the needed tools and cleaning agents.*When possible, wash and detail the car in the shade. This will make the detailing much easier and can prevent water spots.*Wash, wax, and polish the car in a back-to-forth motion-this will help to prevent the appearance of swirl marks. Also avoid using harsh compounds; if used improperly, it will leave your car with unwanted paint blemishes.*If reusing towels, be sure to dry them with dryer fabric softener. Washer fabric softener leaves chemicals in the material.*Multiple wax coats are better than one thick coat.*Wax build up in crevices can be removed with a fine camel hair brush.*A soft toothbrush can be great for getting in those hard-to-reach spots. Be careful where you use it because it can scratch the paint.*Align every bolt, hose clamp, anything else to score maximum show points.*Cotton swabs can be a useful tool on interior and exterior pieces.*Remember, the more time and attention to the minute things while detailing will net more points.
