In all, we were shocked to find so many Hondas in the race (check the photos to see what we mean), even if they did just serve as speed traps for the real contenders. Still, some of them actually completed the race, which is a feat in and of itself when you consider the fact that these cars do not stop driving at top-speed for an entire whirl of the Earth. On top of that, we saw plenty of Japanese imports interspersed within the forests surrounding the track, owned by the spectators themselves. Even more, we spotted two additional Skylines, both from Nismo, Japan, parked randomly in the lot outside the track. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, or maybe the sheer amount of chemicals coursing through our bodies along with the lack of sleep that made it so great. No, it would've been awesome first thing after a 12-hour nap with nothing but a glass of water to drink. Honestly, we'd love to go back, but we already got the scoop on the Skyline. Be sure to save your lunch money, as the full feature will run in our Nov. '03 issue. Even though it didn't win this time around as Falken's fifth entry in the Nrburgring, doesn't mean it isn't a dope car you'll never come close to owning. Because it is. Besides, sixth time is the charm, right? Hopefully the Germans will allow us back into their country so we can find out.
