At the day's end, I was glad that it was finally over. I had expected protest based on stories I'd heard of the events prior to this, but with so many people thanking me and congratulating the judging staff on the job we'd done, I felt even more happy and proud of the final outcome. Judging a drift event was a great experience in that I not only learned more about the sport in general, but that there really are a lot of things you need to look out for in order to give a precise judgement. You can't rely on your own instincts, but must use the suggestions of drivers like Tarzan or Uchi to help throughout the process.
Houston's down; Sonoma's next.
