The ST1 Porsche is a specially approved car because the base model is the Porsche 911 GT3 Japanese Group N version. The 350Z competes in ST3 and ST1. This is because the ST1 350Z is different than the ST3 350Z. The ST1 350Z is a specially approved race car. The base model of the ST1 350Z is actually a complete race car made by Nismo. The engine is from the 35th anniversary model with high-powered camshafts and a special intake manifold all of which makes 390 ps (384 hp). The suspension, axles, and upper and lower arms are from an Infiniti M45. The transmission is heavily modified but the gears are from another stock Nissan transmission. Nismo sells the ST1 350Z race car for 25,000,000 yen (about $227,272). The base model of the ST3 350Z is a Fairlady Z Type E (Evolution), a limited model created for JGTC homologation. The Type E has a long nose bumper and big rear bumper that looks like a Nismo body kit for 350Z. The dimensions of the Type E are 4625mm long, 1840mm wide, and 1295mm tall and the cost is 6,500,000 yen (about $59,090). The Regular Z is 4310mm long, 1815mm wide, and 1315mm tall and only costs 3,300,000 yen (about $30,000). Nissan only sold seven type E's, it is a very valuable model."
