For the last 70 years, the Japanese-American community of Southern California has been getting together in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles to celebrate their culture in a festival called Nisei Week. And when you get a lot of Asians together there's bound to be some cool cars that show up. What started as a heritage festival turned into the 'Nisei cruise' for SoCal car clubs. And by the 1990's, what turned into a car cruise eventually turned into Import Showoff's most popular car show.

The Nisei show wasn't always the biggest of their shows, but its deep roots always brought out the best cars the industry had to offer. Fast forward to now, almost twenty years later when most shows have ran out of gas, the Nisei show is still bangin'. It's the only show left that Import Showoff throws but it's still one of the best quality shows around.

With threats that the parking lot that's been holding the show was going to be torn up and developed, the rumor around town was that 2009 was going to be the last Nisei car show. Luckily for everyone, the surrounding area was remodeled but the parking lot was left untouched. This year the Nisei show came back with a vengeance. All the old school crews that have been around since forever-and-a-day came out to where it all started, at Nisei Week.
