Usually the first day of Tokyo Auto Salon hits the morning after you arrive in Tokyo. That’s a good thing, though, as jetlag will most likely have woken you up several times throughout the night and you’ll be lucky if you can sleep until 6 a.m. For us, it’s the first major day of work, one that requires a comfortable pair of walking shoes in addition to a collection of camera equipment. If it’s your first time stepping foot inside Makuhari Messe, be prepared to have your senses blown away. Get your cameras ready (and have enough memory cards on standby), you’re about to witness one of the greatest shows on Earth.
