Time flies too friggin’ fast! At the time of writing this, Formula D has just finished its fourth round but you’re probably reading this magazine in late September or early October. What’s that mean? The finals are just around the corner! So while our report might be old news, here’s a quick recap of rounds three and four.
What’s Next? Now more than halfway through the season, the championship is still anyone’s game but the top three look like this:
1. Justin Pawlak. Still looking for his first championship, he finished fourth in Florida and was knocked out in the top 8 in Jersey. However, last year’s overall runner-up continues to perform consistently and is the favorite going into the final rounds.
2. Daigo Saito. If you don’t know his name, now you know! Daigo’s first season here is proving to be a thriller, holding second place overall going into round five. And who can hate on his 1000+hp Lexus SC430?
3. Dai Yoshihara. The reigning champ is still looking good. While he hasn’t finished first yet this year, he’s been on the podium three out of four times. Repeat champ anyone?
The last 3 events are back on the West Coast in Washington State, Vegas and the finals in Irwindale. Who’s ready?
