The first words that come to mind when the name HKS is mentioned are Hasegawa, Kitagawa, and Sigma. Ok, maybe not. Arguably, quality would be somewhere in the mix. From their GT turbochargers to their trademark magenta upper pillow ball mounts, the HKS line of product seem to only be on the baddest cars out there. Case and point: when it came time for our resident SR20 guru to choose a turbo for his highly anticipated project car, he insisted on an HKS GT turbocharger. Ironically, HKS opted to use a prototype Rotrex supercharger for their Si Challenge Car. The car sits pretty on Volk Racing LE28N's enveloped by gummy Hoosier R3S04's. Weighing in at a scant 18lbs, the R3S04 is one of the lightest DOT-legal competition tires.
