A Lexus of this caliber must handle the rigors of the road, no matter if the chassis is sliding or powering through a fast road course. This is why Ernie opted for JIC's FLTA2-RS coilovers with custom valving and spring rates; not only has it improved suspension performance, but it also drops the car within inches of the ground. Daizen Sport Tuning pro-duces the front and rear sway bars, strut bars and bushings, and Rotora's big brakes will stop the car at the blip of the brake pedal. Each fender had to be modified to fit the very aggressive 19x10.5 Volk GT-V wheels, with lips more full than Angelina Jolie on collagen treatments. These also sport stretched SP Sport Maxx tires from Dunlop, sized 235/35R19 for any wheel freak's pleasure.
Ernie also saw this buildup as an opportunity to get really creative, so with MA's help, they tubbed out the front inner wheel fenders, allowing for a more aggressive steering angle, a necessity for drift cars. They also updated the look of the car by giving it a body kit from Origin Japan before laying down heavy coats of BASF NOS Candy Blue paint. The interior was stripped down to allow for a custom 24-point roll cage, a Spek fuel cell, a twin NOS carbon bottle setup and a custom dashboard, which also houses a collection of Auto Meter gauges, an Ignited switchboard and the Electromotive stand-alone ECU. MOMO seats were bolted to the floorboard while a MOMO Tuner steering wheel hangs off the steering rack. Ernie can also ride with some tunes as a Panasonic head unit was installed by Car Toyz.
Ernie plans to make exhibitions with the NOS Energy Drink SC300, so be sure to catch it at various drift, show and Time Attack events across the country. If it can perform half as good as the way it looks, we're sure respect is all this car is going to receive-and then some.
