Oddly enough there is not a big tuning demand for Toyota V-12 luxo engines and Smoky will be forced to create custom one-off internals in order to achieve the 1,000hp rating he wants for this car. Why 1,000hp? Because this is the number Smoky feels is needed for him to take this car to 400 km/h (249 mph). Unlike every other story in Super Street, I am not making this up. Smoky wants to one-up his CV35 Skyline, which ran 341 km/h (212mph) on Germany's Autobahn. That top speed prompted the 400 km/h goal for the Supra and the necessity for the 1,000hp rating. But you need more than just power to rocket up to almost four times the speed that Ricky's Accord cruises on the 405, you need aerodynamics.

In addition to big tuning and big motors, Top Secret is known for its big, beautifully sculpted aero kits. Because Smoky loves speed-scorching highway runs even more than tire-smoking burnouts he places a high-priority on high-speed stability. Each Top Secret aero kit is designed to offer enough downforce to keep the vehicle planted at high-speeds but not overly so to restrict the car from reaching those speeds. This same compromise is applied to the aero work found on the world's leading sports car racers such as those in Japan's Super GT series. But Smoky prefers a clean street-styled look over the harsh, angular, tacked-on feel of a GT500 machine. The Top Secret Super G-Force Wangan widebody kit for the Supra supports this design philosophy.

The 33mm front and 50mm rear over fenders blend artfully with the factory lines, but the Top Secret GT rear wing looks a little ricy. However, with 249mph speeds in store for this wing I'm sure it serves much more of a purpose than the bi-plane combat model atop the hatch of some Hot Import Rice tC. As part of the Super G-Force Wangan kit the headlights are the most polarizing part of the car. Some think them hot, others not, but no one can argue against the futuristic conceptual look these eyes give to the Supra, which is what Smoky was going for in the end.

The rest of the Supra is standard Top Secret fare with little more than leather-clad Bride Gias seats, Takata harnesses, a Top Secret wheel and a Defi Super Sports Cluster to complement the clean factory look that Smoky favors. The footwork is also pure Smoky-style with GREX stoppers and Top Secret coilovers equipped with the Roberuta Cup kit which offers in-car height adjustability. Finally, the Supra's shoes offer a new spin on things. The 19-inch Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires may be some of Smoky's all-time fav' rubbers but the Volk GT-Fs are a new model finished in the Top Secret Exclusive gold.

With a $500,000 estimated value, Smoky is not sure whether he would sell this Supra or even build another if a customer makes such a request. But there's only one client who should think about purchasing this car and that's Toyota itself, if only to give it's designers the proper inspiration to take the next generation Supra in a direction it desperately needs to go.
