About the only thing you need to know about the Toyota Supra built by tuning shops Private Power ADMIRE and Masquerade, (both situated in the Kato-shi and Kobe-shi regions of Japan)-other than it being incredibly (and understatedly) badass-is that it's balls-out fast. The totally raced-out, stitch-welded chassis with a custom cage and toggle controls give the obvious notion that somehow, the 709hp we see written down on their spec sheet is no fluke. Its 2JZ has been overhauled for sheer torque and power, using plenty of HKS gear (modified TO4R, header, intake and cams) as well as bits from a RB26DETT to do the job. You might even confuse the aero kit as your standard, off-the-shelf VeilSide fiberglass deal, but Masquerade took it a step beyond and modified it for a truly custom look and fit; perhaps better than the real thing. And according to our Japanese correspondent, Tetsu, seven years ago, Masquerade campaigned the Supra for Time Attack at Tsukuba and had Super GT driver, Tatsuya Tanigawa (veteran of the Denso Supra in '98 and the Cusco Impreza until '05) take it for a spin. It was red and the specs weren't what they are now but Tanigawa was able to finish with a 1:00.6 lap time. Today, Masquerade thinks the Supra can pull a 58-second pass!
