I'm not sure how this happened, but just the other day, my girlfriend and I (let's call her Sweet Cakes since that's the code word for bozack pumps at my local freak shop) happened upon some interesting Japanese movies on xvideos.com. Now before you jump to conclusions about my personal life, I want to explain some things first. Yes, I do call one of my pumps my girlfriend, and no, I don't call her Sweet Cakes. If you must know, her name is Kevina. And, yes, that's the female version of Kevin. If you really must know, I had a friend in elementary school named Kevin and we played "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours" on the daily. OK? Now let's move on.
The movie started off with two girls happily swimming in a community pool, laughing and talking like two friends would. They later decide that wading in the pool was too boring so they climb up the stairs so they can slide down those human tubes. One of them slides down first, leaving the other behind. As honey prepares to slide down, several Japanese dudes grab her and begin to fondle every part of this deuce. She resists at first but eventually lets them do whatever they want. I'm not really sure what happens next as this is the part where I usually grab for the towel and subsequently light up a cigarette. The moral of the story is that even though Japanese movies like this creeps me out, I'm still shocked that I can get a nut off on it.
The one thing that doesn't shock me though is how well the Japanese can take the finest whips and make them more fly than it already was. Case in point is Tamon Design's AP1 Honda S2000. Billed as the "Zaku" S2000, this whip held down the fort inside the Ray's Wheel booth at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon. It was hands down the freshest H-ride to come out of this yearly convention, and it was all due to the ill Tamon Design widebody kit. Don't be surprised if you haven't heard of Tamon Design either. They've only been around since '01, and their street cred is only bubbling up just recently. Hopefully this jumpoff can help them get knowledge on these L.A. streets.
Tamon Design is actually responsible for the famous RE-Amemiya FD piece a couple of years back and is making mad moves along the Tokyo streets. Based in Tsu City, Japan, Tamon Design is owned by Tamon Shoji, a design genius who has been designing cars since high school. "I like to reflect the power and project them in each design," Shoji said to me, thoughtfully, "For example, it is moving and stimulation of curiosity. I feel something moving chikara. It is incredible to provide chikara." If you didn't know, "chikara" means "strength" in Japanese. Also, if you didn't know, these design types are a whole different breed when it comes to viewing the world. Shoji provided some clarification behind his S2K creation:
"First, I took a choice S2000 for '09 project. Because I like the car's unique packaging. A new design is always in my brain just after I would make it and always feel some kind of inspiration. Also, I sketch the design all the time whenever I'm in the bathroom, I'm in the bed, I'm driving and so on. And gradually the complete design is going to be completed. Just like finishing wringing out a towel and the last drop makes great designs. But it is just a total image design."
Say word? Personally, I concentrate on breaking up my turd in one-inch pieces when I'm in the john. But this is probably why I don't own a design company like Shoji-san.
"I'm also thinking about balance, natural image, elegance, novel image and all has be surprising," he continued, "I have to have own motivation to make designs all the time as I can't look images. Finally color is the most important as well because my arts always would be with great color. My final arts depend on colors. Final decision color will make greater and unbelievable atmosphere much more than my expectation. Anyway, making color is unbelievably deep all the time."
