But when you have a Top Fuel front bumper and 18x10.5 Ram's PR-6 wheels and giant Alcon brakes, it's a bit easier generating attention, than say if you were in a stock, rusted-out 510 with no floorpans. In the end, I was a little disappointed that I never got a glimpse as to what the GT-R could do, not even a hint of it. The company was too scared of the consequences, which in itself, probably says more about the performance of the car than if they actually pushed it.
Oh, one more thing. After parting company with Auto Select, I passed a small used car dealership. Yes, R33 Skylines for sale. Not just used Skylines, but used-and-tuned Skylines. Some advertised over 500 hp under the hood with additional equipment, like Volk Racing TE-37s. And the asking price? $20,000. I rest my case.
