SS: So who can do more pull-ups?SB: I can probably do about 20.CY: Ten years ago, 50 easy. Now? Probably three.
SS: How old are you guys?CY: Twenty-nine.SB: Thirty. I feel old when we go to a Hot Import Nights show.
SS: So does John Naderi.CY: Ha, ha.SB: Who? (Hey!-JN)
SS: So how do you build the car correctly if you're targeting a young audience like HIN's?SB: You just have to take yourself out of the decision-making process and realize that it's not designed for you. I may not want to drive a car with a paintjob like this, but we can design our own stuff for ourselves afterhours. This car is definitely meant to be at least ten years before our time.CY: At the same time, we think it's the ultimate HIN 16-year-old['s type of] car to drive. It's built purely for flash, not practicality.
SS: Would this thing last in the rain?SB: Yeah, everything is factory sealed.CY: We tried not to mess with any of that stuff.
SS: Does everything work on it? Like the nitrous-are those bottles hooked up?CY: They could be, but we decided not to just because of practicality. It's based on audio, and it's meant to be a concept car for Alpine's audio components, not a performance vehicle.
SS: OK, we want to see how much you guys actually think alike, so answer the following to the best of your knowledge: Sharon Sotto or Mary Castillo?CY: Mary Castillo. She's a Long Beach homie.SB: Who?
SS: Sauron or Darth Vader?CY/SB: Darth Vader.
SS: Conan or Craig?CY/SB: Jimmy Kimmel.
SS: What would you rather have, Christina's bottoms or Britney's top?CY: Britney's top.SB: Britney's top. I don't want any Christina anything.
SS: Antarctica or Greenland?CY: Greenland.SB: Greenland. It's closer to Europe.
SS: Ski or snowboard?CY/SB: Snowboard.
SS: Pick a few CDs you'd like to play in this thing on a road trip. Could be RuPaul if you want.SB: I'd say Rage Against the Machine and a good hip-hop disc like Fugees.CY: J5, Audioslave, and Rage Against the Machine.
SS: What about DVDs?SB: Minority Report, xXx, and The Fast and the Furious.CY: Terminator 2, Pulp Fiction, and either The Waterboy or Happy Gilmore. Although sometimes it's really hard to work when we have DVDs in there.SB: Yeah, sometimes we have to "test" the car, which means watching DVDs for way too long.CY: Yeah, "test" the car. That's what makes it fun though.
