Back In The Day - 1986 Toyota Corolla

Historical Revolutions, Jollibee's, Marriage, And One Immaculate Ae86-All Under 800 Words

By Roel F. Concepcion, Photography by Ricky Chu, Roel F. Concepcion

Along with the magazine debut of his car, P.J. reveals his first choice of foods in an attempt to get over his rotisserie chicken reputation that began with his first Super Street feature. "My favorite foods are Fear Factor balut, soup Number 5 at your local Filipino restaurant, and Jollibee's Chicken Joy." Perhaps this is the grub you should give him in order to get the perfect paint job at his shop. At 40 years old with more than 20 years of tuning know-how, P.J. still brings the humor we love. When asked which he would save from a burning building first, his worst enemy or his Corolla, he replied: "You mean my wife or my Corolla?" Then he adds: "I have kids and am MBA [Married But Available]." Yes, Super Street definitely has a new hero. His advice to all the readers: "Watch your budget and what you buy for your car; you get what you pay for. Also, don't do drugs."
