The main problem, however, was realizing the weakness of the stock GT-S rearend in accommodating the bump in hoof power, especially when, as of this writing, Josh and his Venture Racing team raised the boost to 16 psi. As a result, the team gave the Corolla another sex transplant and used a 7.5-inch rearend from a Toyota van modified with a limited-slip differential and a set of 4.11 gears. After he completed all of the above, everything else was more or less simple, including the sexy paint job, Tanabe springed/KYB shocked custom coilovers, 14-inch Konig Rewind wheels, and the color-coordinated interior.
In the end, he accomplished what only a couple of people in this world have done: Place a six-cylinder Supra engine in a small Toyota Corolla and actually make it work, resulting in one of the most original Corollas to ever become an avatar at Club4AG.com. He also did this despite his surroundings, where the only thing Japanese in the entire state is the Benihana next to Tuscaloosa High.
The Craziest AE86 Ever
Among the crazy engines that have been swapped inside the beloved AE86, this Nissan SR20DET-powered Levin from D1 a few years back takes the proverbial cake. We would tell you more information about the car, but because we're Super Street and we're as untalented as the cast of American Idol, we'll just show you the pictures and let you figure it out for yourself.
