Every day there's this dance that we do-we, meaning myself and the art staff. (Ok, ok-so it's really just me. Maybe Kate if she's in a really good mood.) It relieves stress and brings us all back to a zen-like state. Pretty much any one of our coworkers who pass by pauses, looks at us with disgust and waits for us to finish it before ridiculing us. Yes, this happens every day, sometimes twice if we're feeling extra randy. At first it was only me who did the funky dance, then one by one they started coming like flies to a light bulb. There's no way to describe how you do this dance but it requires the Sugar Hill Gang's "Apache" and it must be played very loudly, preferably from a cubicle with low walls so your supervisors can hear you. Once those drums start, it's infectious-your hips wiggle and by then you've gone too far. You can't stop until the intro ends (no worries, it's only a few bars) because the rest of the song sucks after that. Try it, you might like it.

And they thought we were high. Ha!

(You can view a video demo of the Fresh Prince version on youtube.com by using search words: fresh, prince, apache.)
