Quest Parking - The Wheel Deal

Cars are not just a hobby, they are an obsession. For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with cars. Now that may not make me popular with my girlfriend, but it sure makes me feel cool while pulled over on the side of the road with police flashers illuminating my rear view mirror because my exhaust is too loud!

I have been blessed to be able to work in an industry that I'm so passionate about while doing marketing for Konig Wheels. Working for a wheel company really changes your view on many things, like, "Is it really cool to stagger that front wheel drive car?" Yes, it looks cool, but everyone knows that GTI is not rear wheel drive... don't they?

Wheels may arguably be the product that can most radically change a vehicle's appearance, and there are many wheel companies. So the question is: how do you choose your wheel? (FYI: That coin toss won't work every time!!!)

Part of what I do is trendspotting, which is a big deal in any company; however, in the wheel industry it is most necessary. Seeing what a hot wheel style or trend is going to be a year before it's hot is always difficult, but it's our business. Making wheels so our customers' rides show people on the streets what's up is what we do! You should choose your wheel like you choose your car. Does it represent you? Does it make you smile when it looks at you dirty? (Sorry, got side-tracked there.) Is the quality high? Is this a company that has been around a long time and are they well versed in wheel knowledge?

At the end of the day wheels are like a good pair of underwear; you need the correct fit! Choose wisely and you will have them for a long time (your wheels, not your underwear).
