Reader's Rides - July 2006

Almost a Feature

  • July Readers Rides Import Model Top Promo Top Promo

It's the section that you love to hate or hate to love. The one place in the book where you, the chosen few, have the opportunity to get your ride featured like the star it should be. Or at least you think it ought to be. Sort of like a vehicular American Idol, where you readers put your best foot forward hoping us editors give you the nod of approval. However, like any good season of American Idol, you get a few good entries and some decent ones, but a whole lot more of "what the fizzle was that nizzle thinking?" But hey, that's just us, and what's our opinion worth? According to Primedia, not very much.

However, this column isn't about us, it's about you. It's for all of you brave and bold automotive Kelly Clarksons and William Hungs out there who don't give a rat's ass about what anyone else thinks and gives it your best shot. Here's to your fifteen, OK maybe five, if not two, minutes of fame. Hopefully this will give you an edge when you're trying to pick up on the opposite sex at your local watering hole.

For the rest of you wishing for some of the spotlight, wish no more. All you have to do is submit a clean picture of your ride, specs, and any applicable bribes to readersrides@superstreetonline.com. Snail-mailers can forward their 'ish to Super Street, Attn: Readers' Rides, 6420 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048.
