• 130 Novembers Readers Rides Top Promo

Every month I try to tie in some special holiday/season to convince you, the reader, to send in your ride. Besides it being Ricky's and my birthdays, it's Thanksgiving-the day to give, well, thanks. And there are a lot of people to be thankful for when you're into cars

First and foremost, you ought to thank your family for putting up with the oily mess and the accumulated stuff you have sprawled out in the garage. You should also be thankful for those friends who were there when you had car problems and provided that much-needed ride. The friends who rolled up their sleeves, wrench in hand. Without those guys you would be S.O.L. and days spent at the track/show/meet wouldn't be the same

Personally, there's someone I never really got to thank. A friend who was like family. Whether it was loosening the hard-to-reach oil filter on my R32, helping clean out my garage, or letting me borrow his old truck to drive to school when my Integra was stolen; he was, and is, the definition of being down. Even though he passed away years ago on Thanksgiving Day, a day hasn't gone by when I haven't thought of him. Thanks, and rest in peace John.

There's someone else I need to thank, and that's you readers. Thanks for reading, thanks for getting our humor, thanks for keeping us number one, and thanks for all the ride submissions. Keep them coming. Where? Here: readersrides@superstreetonline.com; or Super Street, Attn: Readers' Rides, 6420 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048.
