You know you Done f'D up
What is it, three months into '07? Well, we always need resolutions and mine usually comes a bit late. I've given it a lot of thought and figured that it's probably not the greatest thing for me to hold grudges forever. People make mistakes. In fact, I make tons of them on a daily basis and I'm forgiven for the most part. Why shouldn't I extend the same type of compassion to my fellow people? I mean, if you acknowledged you F'd up and are sincere about making it right, who the hell am I to deny that? Nobody special, that's for damn sure.
To keep things short, since our editorials were cut down to a third of a page, my New Year's resolution is to forgive (probably not forget) wrong doings against me if there's a sincere apology thrown somewhere in the mix. You know what the Bible says about not forgiving people. It's against it, or something. This goes for friends, acquaintances, relatives and even jackasses that cut me off when I'm driving. Shoot, I can't be pissed off all the time. That can't be healthy for my abnormally high blood pressure, although I'm sure some of that has to do with Yamz and I hitting 30 steakhouses for our review book. Medium rare red meat is great. My heart is probably going to explode soon so if anyone can get a hold of Dr. House, sign me up for an appointment now.
Then again, I could keep things simple for myself. You know, continue to be pissed off forever, and just compensate for it by riding my $60 Wal-Mart bike up, down and around Signal Hill. Decisions, decisions.
