Tetsu's Tales
If you had nice car which had over 600hp and you told your friend about your car, what did your friends think about it? Happy? Envy? Mad? I guess if you said it in Japan, many people ask you, "What is your lap time at a race track?"
This question means what it is your driving skill and if can control your nice 600hp car. This month of Super Street features turbo and NA. I have no idea which motor is good turbo or NA because both of them have merit and demerit. You can choose turbo motor if you like big horsepower, because turbo motor is better than NA motor for making power. GT-R, Evo and Impreza have turbo and always at the top five in Tsukuba circuit. I know turbo motor is good, but I suggest NA motor if you want to get good driving skill. NA motor doesn't have big power that's why you can feel your driving when you mistake. Turbo motor help (or manipulate) mistakes and you need to spend much money on reinforcement parts.
Keichi Tsuchiya says,"Spend your money for getting driving skill before you spend money for engine tuning." It means that spend your money for tires, brake pads, etc. for driving at a race track. Most D1 drivers started their drifting skill with AE86. AE86 has NA motor. They spent much money for tires. NA motor needs good quality tuning parts because NA motor is responsive to quality parts. One race car driver made his lap time, which was one second faster, when he changed good quality rims from bad quality rims at Tsukuba.
In Super GT race, 350Z, Lexus SC and NSX have NA motor because NA have good throttle respose in low revolution. 350Z GT race cars had VQ turbo motor last year, but they have V8 NA motor (Infiniti M45) now. Please don't mad at me if you own a turbo motor car. I would like to say spend your money for making good driving skill before you start engine tuning. I guess you can get good driving skill with turbo motor, and I like acceleration of turbo motor. New GT-R will have VQ38 motor with twin turbo which can make 480hp. I want to drive it but gas is expensive. I watched Mr. Gore's movie An Inconvenient Truth a few weeks ago and I start to think about environment. Is it possible to make ecology turbo motor? I know hybrid cars are good for environment, but there is no hybrid sport car. I can't forget the feeling of acceleration of turbo motor. The showdown between turbo or NA is never ending because it is up to your liking.

Classic Super Street
Remember when combat body kits were cool? No? Well, let's take a ride back a decade, to when we featured our first Supra adorned in heavy Veilside armor. Dope for a minute, until Cavaliers, Mustang and everything else rolling on four wheels starting rocking them. It was almost as ubiquitous as those played-out Calvin pissing on [fill in noun of choice] stickers in the mid '90s.
Say What?
For many of the competitors buzzing [around] the streets of California, Import Showoff has become a household name. It's been imbedded in many brains [that]: To be somebody in 'the scene,' you have to enter Import Showoff. [But] it's even better to win."
