HKS Team Up with Hyundai To Build Genesis Concept Car
Hyundai keeps the Genesis project rolling as they have also teamed up with Japanese super tuner, HKS, to create a unique concept vehicle, one they hope will showcase the car's aftermarket potential. We recently caught up with HKS to take a behind-the-scenes look at the build of this coupe and we can honestly say you're in for a real treat once it's completed. Not only will the 2.0L sport a trademark GT turbo from HKS, but Ken Style of Japan sent a body kit specialist to their Torrance headquarters to craft a one-off kit by hand and from scratch, just for this project, which may see the light of day depending on response. Stay tuned as we'll be following the entire build of the HKS Hyundai Genesis MOBIS project.

Hondata: Now Rockin' The World's Fastest Acura
This past summer, Hondata co-owner, Doug Macmillan and his wife, Miriam, set five Bonneville landspeed records during Speed Week at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah. In a twin-supercharged Acura RSX that's good for 600hp, he set his first record in the G/BGCC class with a top speed of 221.652 mph, which also placed him into the Bonneville 200 MPH Club. He also took the G/BGALT record with 208.646 mph. After squeezing an additional 100 shot of nitrous, he pulled his best of 234 mph! Miriam piloted a '90 Honda CRX to a record setting pass in the G/GCC class with a 178.584 mph, beating Doug's previous world best. She later set the long course record with 187.077 mph and set the G/GALT record with 183.718 mph, which they hope to break into 200 mph in the future. Driven: 2009 Mazda 6
The all-new '09 Mazda 6 may not scream "buy me and build me" but it does come at the right time to battle the likes of the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima. This 4-door sedan features aggressive exterior styling, a super-huge interior and your choice of a 170hp 2.5L MZR 4-cylinder or 272hp 3.7L V6 MZI engine (depending on model) and drives quite superbly. It also comes equipped with plenty of standard features, a Bose audio system and upgrade packages like i Sport, i Tuning or i Grand Touring.
