In 1990,Formula One grand prix was very very popular in Japan. Ayrton Senna drove for McLaren Honda. Satoru Nakajima, he is first F1 driver in Japan, drove for Tyrrell Ford.(Tyrrell had Honda V10 motor in 1991). But Honda was not only Japanese car company which developed F1 motor. The other Japanese car companies which develop F1 motor was SUBARU in 1990. (Yamaha took part in F1 GP from 1989 but they passed 1990 F1 series.) SUBARU didn't develop V type motor for F1 at that time. I think you know what famous Subaru motor is. It is boxer motor! Subaru developed twelve cylinders boxer motor in 1990. The result of F1 GP in 1991 says Subaru motor is F12.

In same time, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru display Super sport car, "Subaru JIOTTO CASPITA" which had F12 motor. Caspita's F12 motor is 3500cc, Max power is 585ps/10750rpm, Max torque is 30.2kg-m/10500rpm. Subaru would sell Jiotto Caspita but the project was discontinued. I think that there were some reasons that stopped Subaru's Super Sport car project. One reason was the result of Subaru F1 was no good. F1 driver who drove Subaru F1 said F12 motor was very powerful and engine sound was very good but F12 was too big for F1 body regulation in 1990. The air intake as follow F1 regulation was too small for Subaru F12. Subaru's F12 F1 motor project was failure? I don't think so. After Subaru stopped F1 project, they were focused on rally racing. In 1992 Subaru announced IMPREZA. Now,Impreza is very popular in the world because of WRC. Not only rally racing, Impreza take part in Super GT race in Japan (Cusuco Impreza) and D1 Grand Prix (Team Orange.) I guess Impreza is proving that Subaru devloped F1 motor is not useless.www.myspace.com/oted15Tetsu

Intel January 2009 Import Tuner

10 Years Long
(That's What She Said)
Our good friends at Import Tuner recently celebrated their tenth year in the game this past fall and celebrated in a big way at the Arena nightclub in Hollywood, California. With some of LA's best show crews parked out front and all the industry leaders/import models in attendance, it was a party worth hitting except for the jailbait.
