Hello there! My name is Matthew Jones and I am the Feature Editor for Super Street Magazine. We've had a lot of exciting things happening within our brand recently but one of the most notable would have to be the obvious growth in our online readership. Now, I'm an old-fashioned kinda guy. Paying bills online makes me nervous, I use a pen and sticky notes on a daily basis and in my book "Facetime" usually means a campfire circle or a night out with friends. But in effort to provide you techno-heads with the glorious Super Street content you deserve were going to start throwing up unique posts more and more frequently.
With that said, as the staff photographer and long-time contributor of the publication, I thought it would be interesting to share my Top 5 favorite shoots over my career while working with Super Street. Please understand these features are in no particular order whatsoever. Its just straight car porn guys... Indulge.
DJ's WRX "Driftaru"
Nothing beats shooting in the deserts of Arizona. Aside from the perfection location, what I really loved about this build was that not only was the exterior completely ready for battle, the bay was tubed to perfection like a show car while remaining fully shreddable. And shred he did. Just check out the cover image.
Though I've been shooting for Super Street for around 2 years, I've only officially been on staff for 6 months. This cover shoot was assigned to me on my second day and shot on my third. Not only does this shoot hold some sort of sentimental value for me, but also the build itself is just immaculate to the T.
This is the very first shoot I ever did for Super Street. The lime green wheels are a bit much for some, but look past em' and you'll find a badass 2JZ stuffed under the hood. The owner could not have been a nicer guy and the shoot itself came out perfect for the time. I will forever remember this blasphemous 350z.
Unique 240's can be hard to come by. Everyone's got one. Even I had one. But this one right here - is an absolute beast. Housing a VH45 V8 straight out of an Infiniti Q45 and built for the drift apocalypse, this monster is sure to turn heads wherever it turns up. Though sadly, it will never turn up anywhere ever again as it has been completely stripped and rebuilt with a new heart.

J Swap Mini
If you haven't caught on, I like the innovative oddities, and this Mini fits the bill. It houses a mid-mounted 3.2L J Series with a custom RWD setup, all intertwined with a mass of Honda flare. Shooting in the Georgia plains could not have set the seen any better either.
Since I'm on a roll here, I thought I'd throw y'all a bonus feature that I shot a while back for one of our sister publications. This was actually the first cover shoot of my entire career and one of the most intricate builds I've ever seen in person. From the absolutely flawless engine bay and header setup to the jungle gym of a cage and air-jack setup, this build is a beast in all senses possible. Now only if he would drive it.
