GReddy Scion FR-S Rocket Bunny Details:
Rocket Bunny V2 kit, check. GReddy-built 2JZ capable of an est. 750hp, check. Race car attributes, check. This is the world premiere of GReddy Performance's latest racecar build, released last night during the 2013 Scion SEMA Media Preview at Kesspro Studios in Los Angeles, California.
GReddy's all-new 2014 Scion FR-S race car was built for Formula Drift driver, Ken Gushi and can be seen in person at the SEMA 2013 Scion booth. Missing only the front diffuser due to safety of component amongst spectators, this car is not to be confused with the current competition car, which is obvious with its Supra 2JZ-GTE engine conversion.
Mike Chung, GReddy Performance sales/marketing representative, "It's for Ken [Gushi] to compete in something, we're not exactly sure yet. But it is using a lot of the same partners it had in the drift program. This time we have a 2JZ to make a little bit more power and for reliability. We haven't dynoed it yet as we're still working on the little details but we're shooting for around 750-800hp.
Just in time for SEMA comes another debut: the new Rocket Bunny Version 2 aero that everyone (including us) have been drooling over. Mike adds, "We just got it in time for SEMA. The rest of the kits should hopefully arrive December-January. It comes with everything you see here, plus a front diffuser we took off here just because we didn't want people to step on it. This one has the optional DLR kit, which includes 10 lights in the front bumper. Gram Lights 57F XX 19-inch wheels are equipped as well. This car will be in the Scion booth during SEMA and hopefully shortly after we will get it on track."
Featuring the latest parts and an engine conversion to satisfy all Toyota purists, GReddy's latest FR-S build is simply badass. We can't wait to see it rocked wide open on the track. Make sure to see it for yourself at SEMA next week!
