Hyundai Genesis Legato Concept Details:
- Hyundai and ARK Performance partner to create the Legato Concept Genesis Coupe
- Concept is based on the Genesis Coupe
- Vehicle will be showcased at SEMA Nov. 5-8
- The Legato produces 400hp and 425 lb-ft of torque
A third concept vehicle has been added to what’s becoming an impressive SEMA lineup for Hyundai. The Legato Concept Genesis Coupe was tuned and styled by ARK Performance. Its name “Legato” is an Italian musical term meaning “tied together,” the performance luxury coupe concept will be showcased at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas, November 5-8.
“The ARK Legato Concept demonstrates the compelling appeal and versatility of the original Genesis Coupe production concept,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “ARK Performance has taken this original concept and expanded its appeal to the most demanding premium coupe owners at a whole new level.”
In terms of horsepower, the Legato Concept does not come close to rivaling the 1,000hp Hyundai Genesis Coupe by Bisimoto Engineering that will also be displayed at SEMA. However, it holds its own producing 400hp and 425 lb-ft of torque utilizing a Brian Crower 4.0 Stroker Kit bolted to the Hyundai 3.8L Lambda V6 engine. Additionally, ARK Performance installed upgrades such as JE Pistons, BC 4340 crankshaft, connecting rods, and ARK oil cooler to help the Legato Concept achieve its extra output.
Improving performance and stance is the ARK DT-P coilover suspension coupled with lightweight Rays Engineering G25 wheels and Nitto NT05 tires, along with ARK carbon brake pads.
The interior includes Takata Drift Pro LE seats, AiM Sports Strada GT steering wheel, and digital gauge cluster. A Rockford Fosgate premium sound system improves the cabin acoustics.
With SEMA quickly approaching we can’t wait to see builds such as this displayed amongst the latest and greatest releases of this year’s convention. We will see you out there!
