The end of year editorial always winds up being a moment of self-reflection. What happened over the course of 365 days from the last time I wrote this up until now—well, you see everything in here that basically ranges from wow all the way up to totally f'in bueno. We're on a good roll building project cars, not just with the Garage FR-S build and Kia "We Can Be Heroes" campaign we finished in early '13 but the upcoming Sonic-Powered triple threat that you'll have just seen recently at SEMA. We traveled extensively and made more friends than ever from across the world, which helped open up opportunities for us that were never available previously—so to those who fit the bill, thanks for coming along for the ride. We're currently working on plans to bring Super Street readers more great content, not just for this magazine but across our digital and social media platforms as well. Want more? Here's a plug for our newest venture between us, Import Tuner, Modified and European Car; it's called Octane Freaks and you can give it a test spin at www.octanefreaks.com.
The Reality is This
While we've long since ditched the QR code on our covers, we're introducing a new kind of Augmented Reality, brought to you courtesy of SPEC Clutch. Flip through this issue to the SPEC ad (pg. 56) and scan their QR code, which will automatically direct you to the iTunes App Store where you'll be able to download the free SPEC Clutch app. Once installed, you'll be able to experience the Augmented Reality, which we can say is pretty trick. For now, only iOS users can access this AR but Android support is coming up soon. Keep that app handy for future AR-related content, and if you're an Android user, look out for the update.
And so, I end 2013 on the same note as I always do: with many heartfelt thanks for continuing to make Super Street your choice as "the best tuner mag ever."
