Infiniti has just revealed the first image of its Formula One inspired concept, dubbed the Q50 Eau Rogue. The concept is set to debut at the upcoming 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI.
The Q50 Eau Rogue, which is based on Infiniti's Q50 premium sports sedan, is the same car, but on steroids. The concept is not much different from the production model, except that it’s lower, wider, and more muscular.
The Japanese automaker didn’t reveal much about powertrain options, however, it did promise a detailed carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser and side sill skirts; carbon fiber roof and door mirror casings; 21” lightweight forged alloy wheels; and a dual-exit exhaust below the integrated rear spoiler.
Due to its ties to Formula One World Champion, Sebastian Vettel and Infiniti Red Bull Racing, the concept design team was inspired by the aerodynamic styling that racing cars boast – the front wing assembly on the Eau Rogue is evidence of that.
