Autocar chimes in again with news that the Scion iQ's demise may be coming in 2014. The report was extrapolated from comments by Aston Martin boss, Ulrich Bez, regarding the cancellation of the iQ-based Cygnet. The iQ's logical, innovatively small packaging has not appealed much to U.S. buyers. In fact, since its debut in 2009 the iQ's best sales year was 2012 with 8,879 units sold. It's a shame because the way Scion has engineered the shrinking vital component system is quite savvy. Perhaps a city car in this mold was just too far ahead of its time for the American buying public.
