Nissan, Datsun and Nismo owners and enthusiasts at this year's ZDAYZ event in North Carolina were given a special treat as they witnessed the debut of the new 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo with its newly refreshed exterior, enhanced interior, redesigned wheels, and performance improvements.
The 2015 370Z Nismo gets a new GT-R-inspired exterior design giving it a more aggressive and more aerodynamic appearance. New features on the outside include a newly designed front fascia, integrated front chin spoiler, LED Hyper Daytime Running Lights, black headlight bezels, Nismo emblem and red stripe accents and a new Nismo rear spoiler.
The 19-inch NISMO super-lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels have restyled with a twin-five spoke design and a charcoal gray finish.
Inside, the 370Z Nismo has newly redesigned black-and-red Recaro leather seats with Alcantara. These seats have been co-developed with Recaro exclusively for the 370Z Nismo and are intended to provide more uniform body pressure and all-direction holding. Other interior improvements include an Alcantara leather-wrapped steering wheel and Nismo red tachometer. Those who opt for a 370Z Nismo Tech model will also receive a hard drive-based Nissan Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch display.
Underneath the hood, the 370Z Nismo's 3.7-liter power plant receives a tuned H-configured exhaust system, muffler tuning and an optimized calibration giving it an extra 18 hp more than the standard 370Z coupe.
The 370Z also receives a new 4-wheel independent suspension, a Nismo-branded strut tower brace for enhanced body rigidity, and a pair of performance dampers to help minimize road-input vibrations and increase handling and performance feel. Other components of the Nismo-tuned suspension include special springs and stabilizer bars. Nissan Sport Brakes and a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential will also be standard features on the 370Z Nismo.
The 2015 370Z will be available in four exterior colors: Solid Red, Magnetic Black, Brilliant Silver, and Pearl White and is scheduled to be arriving at Nissan dealers nationwide in July of 2014.
