When Ford wants to unveil a new car like the Mustang, they don't just put the car on display at an auto show. They go big! They unveiled the new Stang Banger simultaneously around the world from New York, Detroit, Spain, Australia to China. We were invited to check out the reveal right at the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard.
With every generation of Mustang displayed on the street, the redesigned Mustang was unveiled in front of TCL Chinese Theatre. It's hard for us to get jazzed about Mustangs, but the new one could be appealing to more people as it takes cues from the '65, '67 and '69 models with a modern twist. The new Stang will also be offered with more power. The typical 420hp 5.0-liter V8 will be every domestic kid's dream but our interest is in the new 2.3-liter turbo. We wouldn't expect the Mustang to jump into the turbo four-cylinder game, but if Japan and Europe have been successfully doing it for years, why the hell not?
