Super Street Gumball 3000 Details:
- Gumball 3000 16th anniversary to take place this week between June 5-11

This year’s Gumball 3000 starts this Thursday and the excitement is building worldwide. 2014 marks the 16th anniversary of the legendary rally which will celebrate 120 cars driving across 3,000 miles, two continents and five countries in just seven days. Expected routes include world-famous circuits, football stadiums, castles and more.
Super Street magazine will be running the US leg of the rally, which starts in Miami, stops in Atlanta and finishes in New York. The rest of the competitors will continue across the Atlantic to Edinburgh, London, Paris, Barcelona and Ibiza. Editor-in-Chief Sam Du along with The ID Agency’s Jasper Watts will be driving a highly-modified 2014 Lexus IS. Scheduled to be published on the cover of the August issue of Super Street, the Lexus race car debuted at SEMA 2013 as the wildest third-generation IS modified to date. Under the hood is turbocharged 2JZ-GTE engine swap, a powertrain most commonly found in the Toyota Supra. The engine has been built to withstand extreme power using a 3.4-liter Brian Crower stroker kit, upgraded valvetrain and Garrett turbo. The estimated power for this car is 800hp on race fuel.
