There have been plenty of racing games over the years, but there hasn't been anything quite like Forza Motorsports. Don't get us wrong, we love Gran Turismo, and we're probably going to buy it when it comes out, but as of now the undisputed champion of racing games lies in the Xbox One camp.
When Forza Motorsports 5 came out we went nuts over the attention to detail and the Drivatar features. Which begs the question, how do you top a game that has already received such high praise? Simply put, make Forza Motorsports 6. The new game still retains the 1080p resolution and the 60 frames per second, but there are three things you ought to know about the game releasing on September 15, 2015.
New Cars and Tracks
You can now collect and race over 450 Forzavista cars, complete with working doors, cockpits, damage and customization. Race at 26 different locations, including 10 newly captured tracks that were all rebuilt exclusively for the Xbox One.
Racing at Night
To capture more intensity and danger, Forza will feature night racing. It all comes alive under the stadium lights of Daytona or the blackness of Le Man's backstretch. This is a new thing for Forza. Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director at Turn 10 says, "Our goal was to capture the realism, the claustrophobia. If you think about racing down the Molson straight at 200mph just by your headlights, everything is just a black blur."
Another new element to the already amazing Forza Motorsports is rain. Experience the immersion of racing in the rain while wiper blades barely clear the front windshield. Also, you might want to take it easy in the water puddles because you will hydroplane. Don't say we didn't warn you.
