Professional Australian drifter learns Japanese style

Apr 25, 2017
Videographer: Kale Eickhof

The globe is lousy with talented hot shoes, like Aussie drifter Levi Clarke, one of the pilots we met during our most recent retreat to Japan. Back home, he pilots an LS-powered Nissan Silvia S15 and competes in the Australian Drifting GP. With the help of Hardcore Japan, he found his way behind the wheel of a JZX100 for the Car Modify Wonder Super Live event. It didn't take long for him to get the hang of the small track in the Tochigi prefecture.

"Super Live was a rad event!" Clarke told us. "It gave me good insight of the drifting scene in Japan. It's much different than back home. The track flow was unreal and with a great bunch of guys to drive with." He adds the drivers are all about high-entry speed and big angle. From the looks of this video, he had no problem adjusting to their style. It's much better than Jofel's attempt at Nikko Circuit, something we'd rather not show (Yowza! - Ed.)
