BMW Brings 1-Of-1 M3 To SEMA 2017 #TENSEMA17

If there's a way to celebrate 30 years of the M3 in the US, you can't go wrong with some custom red, white, and blue

It's hard to imagine a time when the US didn't have an M3 for sale, but it was only 30 years ago we got our first ever performance 3 Series with the E30 chassis and its amazing S14 engine. Now at the 2017 SEMA Show, BMW debuted the only version that will celebrate that triple decade with a true, one-of-one 2018 M3 with some very interesting trim in the interior. This car was designed by the BMW Group Designworks and built by the BMW Individual program, the same program that allows owners to customize their cars to their liking.

If you want to celebrate something American, then you have to incorporate red, white, and blue somehow, and the way that BMW chose to do this was with the interior. The front and rear seats are Merino leather in those all-American colors, with the fronts being the BMW Competition Package seats with a "30 Years American" logo with "a graphic juxtaposed '30th' over the American flag symbolizing the 30 years Americans have been expressing their passion for the BMW M3 in the US." This is also flanked by bits of carbon fiber and M Performance armrest, door handles, and shift knob all in red, white, and blue leather.

It's not just interior parts and a special Frozen Red II Metallic paint job. There's actual performance, too, with M Performance Parts like M Performance tuned dampers with adjustable perches and coil springs, M Performance Carbon Wing, M Performance wheels in gold and milled accents with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, and M Performance exhaust with titanium muffler.

Want to get one? Well, you'll need a decent chunk of change and a bit of luck on your side. One and only one customer will be able to purchase this true one-of-a-kind M3 for an MSRP of $130,110 plus $995 for delivery right as soon as the 2017 SEMA Show is over on Friday. Good luck to whoever can afford this striking and all-American BMW M3.

Inspiration in car building can come from just about any direction and, more often than not, thrives when influence from outside the norm works its way into a builder’s final product, and this 1991 Honda Civic is a prime example of that notion. Borrowing from multiple styles helped create a one-of-a-kind ED chassis Civic that

Fourteen years is an eternity for a chassis to remain in production without a complete redesign. We rarely see cars, even special interest or sportscars eclipsing the 10-year mark in the Japanese vehicle realm with a single chassis. Sure, it happens, but it’s not a common occurrence though Nissan seems to push those limits as

Alright, you know the drill: new car is introduced and immediately it’s regarded as the worst design of all time, a product of car X and car Y creating an unwanted baby, and, of course, the always popular, “they should have asked me to design it.” It’s expected in modern times, especially with social media’s

If there’s a Bentley Continental hovering around your neighborhood, chances are it accelerates only rapidly enough to jump in front of the next guy on its way to Starbucks for that $8 latte. It probably doesn’t have any intention of attacking the clock at a weekend track day, and certainly doesn’t aspire to climb a

Nothing makes Super Street fans angrier than a prototype or rendering and up until now, that’s all we could offer regarding the 11th gen. Honda Civic. The burnt orange Civic sedan prototype that we talked about in November of last year signified a new direction for Honda who, at least in the enthusiast market, spent
