Historically, you'd find the hottest and newest parts at Tokyo Auto Salon and it would eventually trickle down to other parts of the world. Only in rare occasions do you ever see a TAS demo car debut at SEMA first. The last time we saw this happen was Bulletproof Automotive's Concept One FR-S. This year the guys at Bulletproof Automotive partnered up with Varis again for an advanced world debut of its version 3 widebody design for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. It's not just any Evo 10; this is the unicorn Evo X Final Edition.
It's not just a widebody Evo, either. Ben Shaffer, founder of Bulletproof Automotive, will tell you about its world debut on the Hyperlock center lock forged wheels or the first ever R35 GT-R calipers with Overtake carbon ceramic brake conversion. Widebody and awesome wheels might sound like the perfect Instagram famous spec sheet, but this car is beyond that. Under the hood is a fully built AMS crate motor with an ETS Precision 6766 BB turbo good for 800hp.
The car is headed for Tokyo Auto Salon next, but Ben also plans on taking it on the track just as he did with the Concept One.
