Super Street is holding one of its wildly popular events to find out which engine-swapped vehicles can throw down on the dyno and track. And if you own such a car, we want you to join us – we’ll even give you the tires to do it on!

The 2017 Super Street Odd Swaps Challenge is open to engine swapped vehicles; any type of engine swap is allowed, whether brand native or cross-platform. Entries need to be registered and chassis need to be from widely available production vehicles. Modifications and in particular power adders – like turbos, superchargers, et al – are all ok to use. NO FULL TUBE FRAME CHASSIS ARE ALLOWED, AND NO DEDICATED RACECARS.

Competition consists of two parts, a horsepower contest on the dynamometer at World Motorsports Wind Tunnel Dyno in Torrance, Calif.; and a time trial on Buttonwillow Raceway Park’s CW13 configuration of its 12-turn, 3.1-mile circuit in Buttonwillow. For the track portion, drivers must come prepared with their own helmet.

Continental Tire is the official title sponsor of the 2017 Super Street Odd Swaps Challenge and will provide all selected competitors a free set of ExtremeContact™ Sport tires for the event – click here for available tire sizes. The dyno day is scheduled for November 8th, while the time trial is set for November 9th.
