1993 DEL SOL SiDriver: Josh KeldermanRepresenting: Erie, Colo. How I Spent the $$$: ZC powerplant (JDM 1.6L single-cam VTEC); Megan Racing headers; Enhanced Elements short-ram intake; Skunk2 springs (two-inch drop); SPC camber kit; Enhanced Elements and Weapon R bracing; 16-inch Rota GT3 wheels; Kumho tires; Suzuki Aerio Ice Blue paint; C-Wings carbon fiber aero; red carpet kit; Protocol seats; G-Force 4-point harnesses; ITR steering wheel and shift boot. We Like: A nice, clean del Sol, not trying to be something it's not. Haters will pick on the red Rotas, but will soon realize they should instead simply get a life.
2002 RSXDriver: Andy NguyenRepresenting: SoCal, Calif. How I Spent the $$$: Jackson Racing supercharger; AEM cold-air intake; Jackson Racing race header; GReddy SP2 exhaust; Hondata K-Pro engine management; Eibach springs; Ingalls camber kit; Hotchkis and Progress anti-sway bars; 17x8-inch 5Zigen FNO1R-C w/Nitto Neo Gen II 225/45/17 tires; ITR front lip; Type Zero side skirts; VIS carbon-fiber hood; Autometer gauges; S2000 engine start button; Panasonic in-dash DVD; JBL 300-watt amp; Alpine Type R 12-inch sub. We Like: Because Andy has taken the unloved base model RSX, made it look street-sleeper nice, both inside and out, and managed to pull 230-wheel hp and 170 lb-ft of torque out of it.
1988 CRXDriver: Bill Brinkworth Representing: Richmond, British ColumbiaHow I Spent the $$$: stock powerplant; DC Sports intake and header; Ractive exhaust; Centerforce clutch; custom fab widebody kit w/molded MF Technology kit and carbon-fiber hood; custom fab side vents in front fenders; custom airbrush paint; wet sanded and cut polished. We Like: 'Cause unless it's rattle-can black, it's something we'd never be caught dead in (even then it's a tough call). But we gotta give Brinkworth props on the paint and body. Homeboy clearly has skills. He even relocated the gas filler neck to the rear. And we dig the RSX taillight conversion. Barrios is gonna try it on his Element.Love: Brinkworth Custom, Richmond, B.C.; www.brinkworthcustom.com; 604/626-9896 or 604/214-7799
1991 Prelude SiDriver: Josh LottoRepresenting: St. Joseph, Mich. How I Spent the $$$: stock 2-liter powerplant; custom cold-air intake; 2.5-inch custom exhaust; OBX titanium muffler; Ground Control coilovers; Tokico Blue shocks; 18-inch Exel Ennios; VIS Invader carbon fiber-hood; VIS body kit. We Like: Despite the graphics and (apparently) neon strobes, we think like Josh does: "I think the old-school Hondas are the best if done right, especially the Prelude." Well that, and that Josh plans to do an H22 swap with turbo. We're waiting on those photos, Josh.
1992 Civic SiDriver: Gustavo & Veronica LopezRepresenting: Falls Church, Va.How I Spent the $$$: AEM cold-air intake; D16Y8 intake manifold; DC Sports 4-2-1 header; APEXi N1 exhaust and V-AFC controller; Ground Control coilovers; Tokico struts; 2000 Integra GS-R wheels; R34 front bumper; Buddy Club side skirts and rear bumper; Wings West spoiler; JDM projector headlamps and taillights; carbon-fiber hood and rear wing; Oh yeah, and Lambo doors; Autometer gauges; Skunk2 short shifter; MTX 12-inch subs.We Like: We're not feeling the Lambo doors or the R34 front, but to each his own. Otherwise, a sweet low-profile effort that still stands apart. The GS-R wheels are a nice touch.
