Owner: Alex Laverde
Car: 2001 Integra Type R
Mods: 81.5mm CP pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, ARP head studs, LHT performance exhaust manifold and down pipe, Garrett 60-1 turbo, Tial blow-off valve and waste gate, Precision injectors, Hondata ECU, TEIN HA coilovers, Function 7 LCA's, Beaks rear lower tie bar, A'PEXi boost gauge, AEM wideband, Autometer shift light.
Why we like it: Though the car packs a mean punch, Alex managed to keep his A/C and power steering on this monster ITR daily driver.
Car: 1990 Civic Si
Mods: JDM B16, DC Sports 4-1 header, AEM hybrid intake, MSD blaster coil and Pro Cap, Innovative mounts, HaSport shift linkage, B&M short shifter, '93 GSR YS1 cable tranny, JUN flywheel, Rywire.com jumper harness, Borla muffler, Skunk2 programmed chip, Skunk2 test pipe, Hankook tires, all new ball joints upper and lower, new tie rods, color matched moldings, Password:DM fenders, smoked side markers, amber parking lights/turns signals.
Why we like it: A sleeper-style Civic with a little power under the hood and a B.A.R. sticker certifying that the swap is legal. That's the way to do it in SoCal.
Owner: Jason M Caraballo
Car: 1990 Integra LS
Mods: Rebuilt B18A, AEM intake, DC Sports header and cat-back, Laguna Seca blue paint, Mugen bumper cover, JDM amber bumper lights, EK side skirts, Ground Control coilovers, 17x7 Racing Hart C2s.
Why we like it: Purchased for a mere $200, this DA shed it's ugly coat over the span of two years, and is snapping necks on the road on a daily basis.
