Let's face it, Xbox and Xbox 360 are not really known for having "whimsical" games included in their line-up of titles, so Viva Piata, a life simulation game debuting exclusively for the 360, sticks out like a beacon. Taking a look beyond the bright colors and the cute characters reveals a deep sim game that is limited only by a gamers imagination.

Viva Piata! starts small by having gamers try to revive a small garden on Piata Island. A wide variety of plants are offered along with some simple tools to get everything underway. As life takes off, the garden starts to attract various Piata animals and changes in all new ways. To keep the garden world growing, gamers are encouraged to entice piata animals to stay around to help the new little world expand.

This game isn't just about "decorating" the island, there are plenty of goals to be achieved, various contests to try and win, and social engagements to take part in. For those who are into devoting time to the game by constantly updating or tweaking their garden world, Viva Piata will continue to grow and expand under the all the attention. On the other hand, gamers who have a more "casual" gaming style won't be left out, because once "life" gets started, the garden world and the different piata pets automatically continue to grow and change over time-despite little interference from the "outside world." Don't get too complacent though, life is not always perfect on Piata Island. A varied "wild life" with over 60 different piata animals trying to live close together means that not everyone is going to get along, and in the end, It's up to gamers to keep the peace and take care of any dangerous situations that come up along the way.
