Rainbow Six Vegas gives this long-running series an adrenaline burst by bringing in a new team leader and gameplay tactics to produce a great shooter that fans will love. Using Las Vegas as a location adds a definite cool factor to the game, and luckily, "Sin City" isn't used as a prop for a less-than-stellar game. Rainbow Six Vegas relies on solid teamwork and tactics to get through the missions, and each member of Team Rainbow is chosen for their combat specialty. Gamers play as Logan Keller, the team leader and recon expert. Joining Logan is electronics and long range weapons expert Jung Park, and demolition and heavy weapons expert Michael Walter. Team Rainbow's mission takes them to the bright lights and slick streets of Las Vegas as it is under siege from a terrorist organization threatening the future of global security. For Logan, Michael and Jung, it's a flat-out race against time to save Las Vegas from total destruction.
Get immersed in the Rainbow Six world as the action happens in real-time, with A.I. team partners Michael and Jung suggesting combat tactics like smashing through walls or hacking computers to meet mission objectives. High-tech equipment added to cool recon and assault techniques like window entries and fast roping have gamers looking cool while getting the job done. Enemies get progressively smarter as gamers move closer to terrorist leaders, and newer enemies work together to counter Team Rainbow's tactics to provide some intense gameplay and combat action.
Multiplayer online gameplay offers gamers the ability to create their own character that continues to evolve with online gameplay to eventually unlock new achievements and equipment. Rainbow Six Vegas comes in as a great new addition to the series with its tight tactical gameplay set under the lights and sounds of Las Vegas.
