Rayman Raving Rabbids

House Arrest - Killing Time Killing Everything

Lisa Lippard
Oct 10, 2007

Even in the world of video games it can get a bit too serious when always having to save the world from imminent doom, planetary invasions or sinister terrorists bent on destruction. When that happens, it's time to pick up games like Rayman Raving Rabbids and just have some fun. The latest Rayman ditches it's old platform background and designs a whole new game filled with tons of mini-games to take Rayman through his latest adventure of being kidnapped and thrown in jail by an evil pack of crazy bunnies. Not only has he been captured and thrown in jail, but our hero's also been enslaved and forced to compete in a series of gladiator-like events as entertainment for his bunny captors.

With over 70 events for Rayman to compete in, there's hours of gaming time here not to mention the fact that they are often times hilarious and just plain fun. All the mini-games are really well thought-out and there's such a variety that it never bogs down to become repetitive or boring. Events like arena fights, milking pigs, tossing cows, smacking choir singers and blasting bunnies with a toilet plunger gun are a few things to look forward to. Plus, getting popular and showing off those sweet dance moves and a funky sense of style can unlock new worlds and sweet collectibles to use in the game. Wii owners will get a chance to max out the controller with cool moves like swinging it like a lasso or shaking it around to make Rayman run. Rayman Raving Rabbids is an addicting, new adventure that keeps things fun by embracing a whole new type of gameplay.
